Ours is built not to. The wear surface is a polyaspartic clear coat with UV inhibitors, chosen specifically because Texas sun destroys lesser products. A lot of floors out there were done with cheaper top coats that amber noticeably within five or six years — the discount is real, but so is the yellow. Ask any coating company what their clear coat does in UV before you sign.
